Our oldest child left for Kid's Camp in Rapid City. I took her to the bus at 6:30am this morning. Apparently it's imperative to get there early to get a good seat. She didn't even wake her dad to tell him goodbye but we had to take the dog along to the bus and she smothered her with kisses before she left!

The only glitch we had while she was getting ready was with her lunch. The kids are supposed to take a sack lunch to eat on the trip since it's 6+hours. We had Brit's all ready to go the night before but when she checked it this morning, all of her Nutty Bars were gone! She was really upset. Fortunately I had one package still hidden away and we put that in her bag and sent her on her way.

Whoever had taken them had done it during the night. I jokingly told Steve that whoever was the last kid out of bed in the morning was probably the thief since that kid would be the most tired from being up in the middle of the night.

One by one the other kids woke up for breakfast. It was getting later and later and guess who was the one I had to wake up because they were still sleeping? Riley. I checked behind his bed and discovered a bunch of Nutty Bar wrappers. It's not going to be a very fun day for Riley :)
