Exotic Fruit

Last week we received a box from Aunt Brooke and Uncle Nathan. The kids helped me open it and inside we found Asian Pears and Feijoas. We cut some up and tried them right away.

The Asian Pears were kind of a cross between a pear and a yellow apple. They had the sweet delicious taste of a pear and a bit of a crunch like an apple but were really juicy. The kids loved them!

The Feijoas were green and shaped like a kiwi. The kids weren't sure about them because they also have a unique smell. They said it smelled like medicine. But everyone tried it and like the taste, although the Asian Pear was the definite favorite. Next month, I'll try to remember to take pictures. This time the fruit was gone by the time I thought about it :)

We're excited because we'll get a new box every month with two different kinds of exotic fruit. This is such a great gift because the kids are able to try fruit that we wouldn't normally buy, or possibly even have access to. We're already looking forward to the next box!
