Good News

Good News! I have $169 in cash. I added up the amount we spent on gas and tolls to get here and the total was $154. Hopefully that means we can get home and have $15 to spare! : )

I'm Not As Organized As I Hoped

It might be interesting getting home. I very carefully packed everything we needed EXCEPT the $200 visa gift card. It was supposed to be our gas money to get home. By the time I noticed, it was too late to send it and get it here before we needed to leave again. Our debit card isn't working either so we're entirely dependent on cash. I kept track of exactly how much it cost us to get here in gas and tolls. I have exactly $160 left in cash, which is almost enough but not quite, so I hope we get amazing gas milege on the way home. : )
Yesterday afternoon we had lunch at Aunt Carol & Uncle Mike's house. Then the whole family went to the funeral home at 1pm. Steve enjoyed visiting with all his cousins and I pretty much sat with the kids and tried to keep them quiet. At least I had Brittney to keep me company! After we came back, Staci and I ran to Walmart and so she could get contact solution and some games. She and I played cards until the family had supper before going back to the funeral home. My family didn't really need to go back so Taylor and I watched a movie while the other kids played. Then when everyone came back inside, we watched a family movie. The kids and I were in bed by 8:30 so we can be ready for the funeral tomorrow.

Penn - Morning of Day Two

We started the day yesterday with breakfast with Grandma Sandy. Brittney stayed up a bit to late the night before and we had at least an hour of pre-teen girl emotional roller coaster fun. The kids went sledding again before lunch. Anthony loved going down backwards and Riley is always a daredevil. Since he couldn't walk back up the steep hill by himself, Zeke hung out on the porch of the trailer waiting for Uncle Mike. Then he went sledding too and Uncle Mike gave him a ride back up the hill on the four wheeler so he could sled down again. Zeke loved the four wheeler!
